Hannes Oosthuizen is currently the Consumer Experience Manager of Cars.co.za, one of South Africa’s twenty biggest websites and largest automotive content producers. He also currently heads up that publication’s prestigious Consumer Awards programme and is one of only two South Africans on the World Car of the Year jury. Previously he was the editor of CAR magazine, South Africa’s oldest and most popular motoring publication, as well as its digital platforms (www.carmag.co.za and http://www.carmagblog.co.za).
Hannes has also completed a two-year stint in the automotive industry as up-and-coming brand GWM’s product and brand manager. This combination of print, digital and manufacturer experience gives him a unique perspective on the South African automotive media industry.
In 2008 he was nominated by the Mail&Guardian newspaper as one of its Top 300 young South Africans to take to lunch in its annual youth-day supplement, and in 2012 was listed as one of South Africa’s Top 40 media professionals under the age of 40.
