If you missed out on the first Motoring Journalism lecture in Johannesburg earlier this year, then take note that the next opportunity will be on Saturday, July 30th, 2016. If you are interested please get in touch as soon as possible.
What’s new in this lecture (compared with those in 2012 and 2013)? Well, since I left CAR I’ve worked as a brand and product manager at a car company (GWM, 2 years), and have now been employed by a leading digital automotive platform, Cars.co.za, for more than a year. As a result, I am fortunate to be in a position where I can provide attendees with insights into just about every facet of motoring journalism, and especially in terms of how print and digital platforms are evolving.
As before, I’ll detail the current situation regarding motoring journalism in South Africa, as well as talk about the career in general, but there will be greater focus on digital and tailoring content to the different platforms. The importance of content marketing will also be discussed.
In short, attending the lecture will put you in a position to decide whether this is a suitable career path or not.
